Idea: IP Tracker โ€” Automatic Company Profiling โ€‹

Status: PARKED โ€” Growth tooling. No immediate priority. Origin: Relocated from TODOS.md (former ยง7 โ€” Marketing & Growth) during a TODOS pruning audit (2026-05-11).


Concept โ€‹

Website visitors from bus tourism companies leave no trace unless they actively fill out a form. An IP-to-company reverse-lookup service (e.g., Clearbit Reveal, Leadfeeder, or Snitcher) can match visitor IPs to known company profiles in real time.

Implementation Outline โ€‹

  1. Integrate an IP intelligence service into the marketing site / docs-hub.
  2. On each visit, resolve the visitor IP against a company database.
  3. If a match is found, automatically save the company profile (name, industry, size, location) to a leads table or CRM.

Open Questions โ€‹

  • Which IP intelligence provider to use
  • Data model for captured company profiles
  • Deduplication logic for repeat visits
  • GDPR compliance strategy (IP anonymization, legitimate interest basis)

Why Parked โ€‹

Pre-revenue stage โ€” investment in growth tooling is premature before the core product ships. Revisit after the marketing site or docs-hub is live and receiving organic traffic.
