Passenger Features (Pillar 2: Commerce)
Intent: Provide a self-service hub for travelers to manage their bookings, make payments, and retrieve digital artifacts without creating a permanent account.
1. Magic Link Authentication
- Passwordless Entry: Passengers access their portal via secure, time-limited "Magic Links" sent to their email or WhatsApp. No passwords or account creation required.
- Booking Context: The system cryptographically ties the magic link to a specific
CheckoutSessionorBookingUUID, granting scoped access to that booking's data only.
2. Fulfillment Hub
- Document Retrieval: Passengers can download Booking Confirmations, Invoices (PDFs generated from the
Invoicecomponent), and Receipts. - Apple & Google Wallet Integration: One-tap buttons to add or refresh dynamic digital boarding passes.
3. Self-Service Payment & Upgrades
- Balance Payments: Passengers receive automated reminders for the final payment. They can pay securely via the portal using Klarna, SEPA, or Credit Card.
- Ancillary Upgrades: Post-booking upsells (e.g., adding an excursion or securing a specific seat) can flow through targeted links to the passenger portal.
